Gaig Restaurant

Carles Gaig was born in Horta neighborhoods, surrounded by stoves, in a family dedicated from 1869 to the kitchen, the so-called Taberna d'en Gaig. He always helped his family, but it is in the 70's when his mother's blindness makes him take the reins of the restaurant. In 1989, his will to join tradition and innovation brings him to renew his traditional restaurant that will became the Restaurant Gaig, and obtained one Michelin star in 1993.

Carme's culinary imaginary belongs to the surroundings where she was born and where she still lives, with a touch of Japanese sensitivity, acquired thanks to her restaurant in Tokio. Her kitchen is sensorial and delicate, evocative and meticulous. Local and global.

Born in Sant Pol de Mar, from an agricultural and trading family, she is the only woman in the world to be awarded with five Michelin stars.

Carles Abellán

Natural born rebel, he has been able to convert the concepts of "El Bulli" –that is where he started- into affordable and ludic initiatives, working at the same time with the solid tradition of Catalan "tapas" and "platillos".

He was in the mythical first batch of the "Escuela de Hostelería de Barcelona" with Sergi Arola and José Andrés, among others. Involved from his youngness in "El Bulli", he received there his first and definitive education. He has one Michelin star for the Restaurant Comerç 24.

Fermi Puig

Fermin Puig Botey was born in Granollers, Barcelona, 1959. His culinary training was developed in restaurants Montse Guillén (Barcelona), El Bulli (Roses), the Ciboulette (Barcelona), Christian Bourillot (Lyon), Royal Gray (Cannes) and San Marcos (Sevilla). He worked as a chef of Costa Brava and La Riviera (Tenerife), Viewpoint Caves (San Sadurní) and Hotel Majestic (Barcelona), where he held the culinary direction while he led the legendary Drolma restaurant, which was considered one of the best and most exclusive of the city with the recognition of a Michelin star.

Salvador Capdevila

Born in Barcelona on May 19th, 1942. He devoted himself to the family business of birds (AVINOVA) and built the first integration of chickens in the country; degree in commercial expertise and commercial teacher. He later went into business in the hospitality (GAMBRINUS at whip Moll, ELS four GATS i CA LA MONTSE in Barceloneta); he returned to the family business of poultry and eggs at Mercat de la Boqueria. In July 2001 a new board was formed and was named vice president of the Retailers Association of Mercat de la Boqueria. In March 2011 he was appointed president.

With a captivating personality, an encyclopedic technical knowledge and an overwhelming creativity, Escribà achieved to create a fantastic and spectacle world where sweet and surprising combine with all kinds of arts, performances and artefacts.

Christian is the successor of a pastry saga. In 2011, he has been member of the jury in the World Chocolate Masters contest in Paris; in 2007, he received the "Real Academia de Gastronomía" Award as the best pastry chef in Spain. He has been a member of the jury in the TV programs Masterchef and Top Chef.

David Pallàs

DAVID PALLÀS

Master chocolatier passionate about his profession, he became a devotee of chocolate thanks to Antonio Escribá from whom he learned all the magic that surrounds a simple chocolate.

Currently has his hands "Chocolateando" at Canal Cocina, which shares his tips and tricks. Also just released the book "Passion for Chocolate" in which he explains how to be seduced by the star ingredient. I LOVE CHOCOLATE is his philosophy, all chocomanic... sponsor a most sweet!
